THE ART OF DECOUPAGE' AND A GRADUATION

I took a really worthless old solid wood dresser and gave it a quick make over.  I wanted to bring those claret/pinks/reds into a design because I simply LOVE those tones on that green turquoise color.  I didn't want to cover the entire drawer front.  I kinda went in a wave shape from the top corner down to the bottom side corner….still needs to be waxed, which will make all the blue/green painted color really stand out, as well as the distressed areas…but it still looks good enough to share.  Hope you enjoy!

Then we had our eldest son's girlfriends college graduation this past weekend, I almost didn't make it as I had something very upsetting occur the day before and spent most of the day crying and didn't sleep very well, so I was drained and exhausted (apparent in photo).  However, I really wanted to be there for her. Plus her entire family flew in from Georgia…we had a lovely visit and am very proud of our Caroline!  Well done you!!
